Dear Readers,

Records Raccoon has quite a few pending requests at the moment filed in various states with various agencies. We’ve encountered several delays in obtaining records, including due to agencies failing to respond to requests within a timely manner. The Federal government shutdown has also effected our Federal FOIA requests.

Among our pending requests, we have quite a few requests related to Yondr Bags in K-12 schools and once agencies finish responding to those requests, we hope to have some analysis and interesting findings on that topic. We also have many requests related to courses in California that are still pending, however we have encountered some agency resistance.

Unfortunately, our commitment to Public Records based journalism sometimes means that we have to run on a timetable set by agencies as opposed to what we would like to do. We appreciate your patience during this time as we work diligently to gather more records so that we can keep you informed of what the Government is doing.
